I'll sign up for City of Ashes! It's my favorite by far! [/size] But I didn't see this before, but here are some facts about some of the species for the people, who will hopefully choose one.
Okay, so first, we need the general things. The facts and stuff, and then we can add some pizzazy words a little later.
VAMPIRES *No Sparkle (I think we should deliberately add this one) *They Don't Age *They have blood running through their veins (Normally they don't but in COA Valentine had to drain the blood of the Nephlam creatures, faeries, werewolves, etc.) *They Normally Run In Clans (Speaking of Raphael's) *Dislike Werewolves (With the exception of Simon) *Can't Go out Into The Sun (With the exception of Simon xD) *As of now, Tolerate Shadowhunters. (Earlier in the book Series they despised one another, so I thought I might add that)
WEREWOLVES *They Don't Age *Can Shape-Shift Anytime (or so I believe, correct me if wrong) *Can only be wolves (talking about normal shapeshifters, because some can turn into other things. Like, Panthers.) *Normally Run In Clans (Talking about Luke's) *Dislike Vampires *As of now, Tolerate Shadowhunters. (Earlier in the book Series they despised one another, so I thought I might add that)
SHADOWHUNTERS *Cocky Attitudes (Well, not all of them, but some of them will think they are the best) *Good With Certain Weaponry (Some of them have a signature weapon. Example: Isabella's whip, Alec's Bow.) *Loyal *Tolerate Underworlders (Once again, as of now) *Fight Demons (Primarily, are the only ones) *Dislike most Humans/Mundanes (Exception of Clary in the first Book) *Are Mostly Invisible to Mundanes (Humans have to have the 'sight')
Kay. Well that's what popped to the top of my head, people can add on! Now!
XOXO

I'll take the City of Bones (its fresher in my mind because i'm rereading it at the moment)
Some tiny more facts about the downworlders i thinkt would probably help
VAMPIRES are also called Children of the Night. when they are drunk they turn into either a rat, bat, or pile of dust ( if a pile of dust than when the effects were off they'll return to normal) they are not all beautiful, because lets face, how many people are drop dead beautiful, sexy, whatever before they turn? when turned they stay the way they had looked at that moment forever, a major downer if your a teenager with pimples. they also are able to pimp their rides (motorcylce) and have them run on demon energy
WEREWOLVES are also called Children of the Moon. they run in packs, rarely does one go out on his own. they do eat bloody meat and they don't like silver because it can kill them
SHADOWHUNTERS are also called Children of Nephilim. they have rune marks all over their bodies, though when they use a rune they generally disappear after its use. every shadowhunter (who was raised as a shadowhunter) has a mark on either their left or right hand (depending on which they write with) it is their first mark.
WITCHES AND WARLOCKS are crossbreds. they can not have children, but that doesn't mean that they can't fall in love. they are part human and part demon (like most downworlders are)
FAERIES also known as fey, are known never to tell lies. they are micheivious little creatures with a nack for annoynce and drama. eating or drinking their food is just not a good idea, unless you want to become a faerie yourself.
in the series they also have pixies, dwarfs, elves, etc...( we just don't hear much about them or really know anything about them other than elves are about nine inches tall)

I'll do Faeries, they interest me the most Here are some other things I remember about the species- Werewolves-Pack leaders are mutable. You have to kill him/her to become the new pack leader. -Also called lycanthrope -Can be born as a werewolf but most are bitten -Transform once a month on the full moon(at least that's what i thought....) Vampires-Pass their powers through the blood -Vampires have to be buried, then dig their way out of the grave, and then they become a vampire -If no one is there to help them out of the grave they stay in a state of not really being dead but not being able to wake up -They call their newborns fledglings -Only daylighters can go into the sun, and they are very rare Shadowhunters-All shadowhunters are born shadowhunters -Their native city is Idris -They originally got their powers from the angel Raziel -Put marks on themselves to boost their strengths -Most start training at a very young age -Kill demons -They join the Clave once they reach a certain age Well that's all I can think of! Just correct me if I'm wrong on something

I think the werewolves could change at will ( b/c i doubt that its been a full moon as often as they've been shown in the book ) and shadowhunters aren't just born into it. a human can drink from the mortal cup ( as long as they have certain qualifications and it works better if they are children ) and become a shadowhunter and i don't think everyone joins the clave, i think its something one is invited into for a certain position Here's what i got so far for the City of Bones guide. I'm still working on it ( as i am still rereading and refreshing my memory on it ) CITY OF BONES by cassandra claire it all started at the pandemonium, a club for all ages, with a boy with lighteningblue hair being murdered by three teenagers no one but young Clary Fray could see. Things aren't as they seem though when Clary bursts into the room to try and save the boy. however her heroics are moot point when the boy proves himself to be a demon and tries to attack. thankfully the teenagers, who reveals themselves as shadowhunters, are able to stop the demon, speically Jace Wayland stops it. while the demon is gone, it leaves the young shadowhunters with just one question; why can she see them? it is a rare thing for a mundane ( or rather human ) to be able to see their world.
the next night, after getting into a agruement with her mother, clary goes out with her best friend, Simon, to the java jones shop to listen to his friend, Eric, read poetry it is there that clary runs back into jace, who sits behind her and is laughing while her best friend tries to explain that the girl he likes is actually her (however he fails epically at this) clary excuses herself from simon, who can't see jace, and follows him out of the coffee shop. while they are bickering amongest themselves, clary's mother calls her, and warns her not to go home. worried, clary takes off in a sprint to her shared appartment. jace takes his own route. when clary gets home the place is destroyed and her mother is missing, but she doesn't have time to actually let that soak in before a demon, who desires to eat her, appears and starts attacking. clary, distraught, was captured by the demon. before it could sink its teeth in her, she shoved a sensor (which she had stolen from jace in her rush to get back home) into the creatures mouth, stopping it from attacking farther. when jace finally shows up, the demon is almost dead, so jace finishs it up. clary, filled withd demon poision, tries to agrue with him, however passes out.
jace brings clary back to the insitute, but not before putting a healing rune on her. its because of this rune that jace and the others are able to conclude that clary is also a shadowhunter. when they call in the silent brothers from the Silent City, they discover more about clary's situation, and why it is only now that she is able to see everything her mother, from the time clary was two years old, had clary's memory wiped clean by a warlock, Magnus Bane. everything that connected clary to the world of downworlders, shadowhunters, etc., anything she saw that hinted at this world, was forgotten even as she saw it. her mother would've had to bring clary back to magnus every two years to have the spell renewed. the gang ( jace, clary, alec, isabelle, and simon) track down the warlock to a party he is hosting.
magnus explains that he can not undo the spells on clary's memory. on their way out simon turns into a rat after drinking a blue substance. he is taken by the children of the night (vampires) who think that he is one of their companions. clary and jace go after clary's friend, even though jace doesn't like the mundane.

I'll take werewolves, they are my favourite species.
Also, fearies are crossbreds of angels & demons. They have the beauty of angels & the evil minds of demons. They will give a mundane what they want the most & it will be the last thing the human gets. Eg. If the human wants to dance then they will dance till they're dead. Just thought I'd add that, correct me if I'm wrong.
