i really should just keep my mouth shut since the characters have already been well established and what not, but then i'd be myself up over not suggesting this. since the canons (most of them anyways) should be well into their thirties, mabye early fourties and fifties, i think finding age approperiate play-bys would be a good idea, to make things more realistic. ( going by my calucations, which could be very very very off since i'm bad at math ) clary, jace, alec, and isabelle are around 35, 36,37,38 years old, and its kind of odd to see them looking like their in the teens (maybe early twenties) again (especially for those with children about that age). I know the younger actresses and such are really pretty, sexy, beautiful (whatever!) but the older ones are just as pretty, sexy, beautiful (whatever!). I'm working on making a list for the canons on suggestions for actresses/actors that might be good for the role if that would help anyone... heck if this suggestion is taken to heart i'll even do everyones graphics ( icons, sigs, those two images thing, thread iamges whatever!) i just think that this is fairly important to making a roleplay more realistic, more successful.

i do have another suggestion i think my be helpful to attract those who haven't really read the book but think they may be ineterested in the role play. perhaps having a guide on whats what would be helpful. kind of explain what a shadowhunter is, what downworlders and such are. kind of point out the do's and don'ts for werewolves (like saying they're not shapeshifters who prefer the shape of a wolf) and vampires (like saying how they don't sparkle!)

And to your second suggestion, I would really only like people who have read the mortal instruments to be involved in this roleplay.

Courteney Cox Arquette has always been one of those actresses who, as they get older, their beauty just continues to shine on. she is perhaps one of my most favorite actresses. she knows how to be funny and sexy, just watch a few episodes of Friends. i think she is perfect to be an older isabelle lightwood. the way, in the book, isabelle is described is having long black hair and being tall and gracefu, very beautifull. i think Courteney could definitely be isabelle. while her hair isn't long like down to her butt, i think isabelle would have cut it off as she grew older ( since isabelle would be about 36 and most women that age have long learned the best style for their hair and sometimes its just much shorter than when they were young.)

Eva Longoria isn't my first pick for an older isabelle, but she is one of those who'd i would have considered. she's got a lot of sex appeal, as isabelle had in the book. her hair isn't as dark as isabelle's would have been, however, as i have said, with age comes new hair styles that fit better with themselves now.

>>Catherine Zeta-Jones
Catherine Zeta-Jones another one of those actresses who just seem to get more beautiful as she ages. she is another of my most favorite actresses. she definitely could fit the bill of and older isabelle. she's got that dark hair, that look of grace, and of course she's just absolutely beautiful. its a tie between Catherine and Courteney on who i think would be best to protray isabelle. they both just have that look.

Helena Bonham-Carter oh where to start with her. she does great in movies that have a dark twist, or playing a twisted character, such as Bellatrix from the harry potter seires.i think if she protrayed isabelle, that it would bring something extra to the character. a chance to go a little crazy perhaps? Helena is beautiful, not in that typical kind of way though. just imagine her kicking demon butt!

CLARY FRAY

Danneel Harris is down right sexy, no if ands or butts about it. i think of her when they described Clary's mother in the first book, and i figure since Clary and her mother are suppose to look somuch a like, that she would fit for her as well. her hair is a touch too dark, but its still a redish color, like Clary is described of having. i'm sure if you look at photos without a professional photographer and hair and make-up team, she'd have freckles too. i think Danneel has that homey feel at first appearance ( something i could easily see Clary looking like when she's about 35-36 years old and a mother ).

Leah Remini may have too many sex appeal pictures, and her hair may not be all that redish tent, but you can't exclude her from the picking of Clary. she has that look that one could easily picture coming from Clary. not to mention she knows how to be classy and a freak in the bed ( not that you can rp that out, but it could be funny for jace to tease her about)

Isla Fisher is my second choice to protray Clary, only after Danneel. she is much like daneel in the reason why i think she would be great, though her hair is a lighter shade and you can see the red tent in it. she is absolutely beautiful

>>Julianne Moore
Julianne Moore is stunning. her hair is perfect, i think, for Clary. Julianne is so beautiful, something flawless, almost ageless, about her that pops up and just says 'i'm here!' or something like that anyways. Julianne has intense eyes and that motherly feel about her. she is just out there. definitely one someone should really consider to be their play by.

MAYRIS LIGHTWOOD

Lucy Lawless may be blonde but that doesn't mean she couldn't pull off a Mayris Lightwood. most older women try to grasp their lingering beauty by doing anything and everything, changing hair color could also be something they do.

Brad Pitt is just dreamy in general. i think Brad could definitely be an older Jace. he's got the right look about him. that 'i'm a cocky lil ass' kinda thing, we all know jace is like thise so lets not pretend differently. he's definitely got the look to make girls stare, which jace has too.

Leonardo Dicaprio has talent, as we see time and time again from all his movies, and he has the look. he is just one of those guys a girl has too look out for. he looks like he can easily break a girls heart, but once he gives his heart, that she's the only one for him. definitely someone who could protray an older Jace.

David Boreanaz might be a little too manly for Alec Lightwood, but i think he's someone to consider for the role. he's got that ' tall, dark(hair/eyes) and handsome' look about him, and those muscles that just really make it look like he's been training for like years and years

Joshua Jackson has been a heartthrob since forever it seems. he is the one i can truely see being an older Alec. he's got that manly but not manly look about him that i think of whenever i think of alec. not to mention Joshua is just so damn sexy!

I second the Guide idea. I want this site to be just as successful as the next person, but let's face it: COB isn't as popular as Harry Potter or Twilight. Since it is after the whole book series, and as of now, going with the flow, I think that it would be ah-mazing for new people to join, because then they will want to read the books, but not because how great they may be, but because they have options. Everyone could pitch in, and it could be a site thing.
