Yes. Yes, I had to make it. Someone had to. Every single person I've had read these books has a different favorite character, and it is wonderful! I wanna know who you like, and why!

Me? I LOVE Magnus Bane! He is awesome beyond all reason! Let's face it, our dear Shadowhunters would be totally screwed without his healing/spells/info. Snarky, fashionable, and handsome to boot. He had me at cat eyes. XD I stood even less of a chance when he showed up in a damn frock coat! Did I mention how incredibly attractive he is?

hehe, great idea Obviously I like Simon. I Actually hated him in the first book... he was just so annoying, always depending and Clary and what-not. I liked how he became much more independent later on in the novels.

Simon is a close second for me! I think he's cute, and his nerdyness appeals to me personally. XD I would play DnD with him any day, AND school him in Halo! XD

Oh, you should not have started this thread. May I just say....
RAPHAELRAPHAELRAPHAELRAPHAELRAPHAELRAPAHAEL<3333
Okay, I think I'm done. -_-""
Alec is a really close second for me though. I liked him since the first book, too, and I loved his character development. I also love the fact that he's an important secondary character, along with Izzy. You don't see those too often and it made me happy to see that Clare was focusing on EVERYONE, not just Jace and Clary. I hate Jace and I hate Clary. I don't know why. I just think they're the most annoying protagonists....Haha. In fact, I think that's how I started to like Alec, because in the first book he hated Clary and I was like "YES! Finally someone's a bitch to her!" Don't hate me ;P

No way, this thread is totally for fangirl freakouts. XD
I like Raphael, but I don't think he gets enough face time, so to speak. Clare needs to write'im in there more!
I'm starting to sound like an echo, but I'd be damned if I didn't say I really like Alec as well, which is why I'm so happy he's with Magnus. 83 And trust me, you aren't the only one who dislikes the protagonists. I wouldn't go so far as to say hate....ok, maybe I hate Jace a little. He's a class-a asshat. And I see Clary more as a vehicle to see characters I like, since we as the reader tend to follow her around more often than anyone else.

Oh yeah, Raphael doesn't get lots of screen time, but when he's actually in the text, it's usually important, so I can live with that haha. Alec doesn't get as much screen time as he should I think, too. And I'm not just saying that because I'm a fan of his (though I won't deny that there's a small part of my fangirlness that's screaming the same thing) but because I think he can become very important. I mean, he's supposed to be Jace's parabatai and yet they act nothing like it. I don't know. I just think their relationship really took a turn for the worst and Alec tries everything to get it back to the way it was. Haha. Poor kid. Throws himself in front of Abbadon for Jace and what does he get? A redhead who steals his attention. Lol. Oh well, now he has Magnus~! (MALEC FTW! <3)
Well, Jace is SUPPOSED to be a class-a asshat. I just don't like him because even though he KNOWS he's not a demon, he still acts like he's a burden to the world and that he's not good for anything but hurting people. Someone really needs to slap him. *Raises hand* I'll do it! =D
Yeah, it IS because of Clary we got Magnus...and Raphael...so I guess I can't say I "hate" her. I just dislike her very much ;]

Please. Please slap him. Someone. Anyone. XD He's just so ANGSTY! Especially at the end of Fallen Angels. All this cliff hanger crap could've been avoided if he didn't feel the need to brood on the roof. You are not Batman, get in the elevator this instant! D:< I'm not entirely sure how parabatai are supposed to act, but I know it isn't how Jace has been!
Speaking of Fallen Angels, while I finally got tons of Simon sans Clary, there was a distinct lack of Alec and Magnus, since they were on their little 'romantic vacation'. Which for me translates to 'I couldn't think of a way to avoid having Magnus/Alec fix/prevent everything so OFF WITH YE!'

*To Arianna's request* OKAY! *Slaps Jace and then laughs* Oh, that felt good =D OMG I AGREE. I don't understand why he stayed on the roof because like two pages before, didn't he say he didn't want to be remotely NEAR Jonathan? (I call him Jonathan, I refuse to call him Sebastian because I feel like they're discrediting the real Sebastian Haha) Idiot. Complete idiot.
Parabatai (I italicize it because it's a foreign word. If it's annoying, I'll stop =D) are supposed to be "closer than brothers", according to I think Jace in the first book. To me, that means nearly inseparable. And Alec and Jace are...well, separable. I think a main factor is that Alec's a legal adult and Jace is not. They're both growing up, whether they want to or not and I think they're starting to realize that they can't depend on each other for everything. I don't know, that's my take on it. It's both their faults. Jace is too obsessed with Clary and Alec is too busy securing his self-worth with Magnus. Boys will be boys, right?
There was lack of them in the beginning. I rather liked that, because it made them that much more important towards the end of the novel, with *shudders* Camille. Anyone else want to kill her?! Because I do! I hated Camille in Infernal Devices too. Ugh, she's a creeper. I HATED HER CLIFF HANGER! You know, when she told Alec that there was another way to be with Magnus?! AND THEN SHE LEFT! I wanted to punch her SO much. Damn, well, at least we know that Alec and Magnus has their own plot-finding a way to be together without making Alec immortal haha.
So, while we're speaking of COFA, what's everyone's favorite part(s)? One of my favorite parts is when Alec and Magnus were having that serious conversation at the wedding party and then Isabelle popped up. I started laughing so hard.
"Sweet, wonderful Isabelle. Can this wait until later? Now's not a really good time."
I love how obviously annoyed Magnus was. =D

I didn't hate Camille until the end of Fallen Angels, when Alec let her go and she bailed. I'm pretty sure she just said that to get free, preying on Alec's own worries, and that she didn't know crap. She is definitely a creeper of the highest calibre. She went from 'Ooooh, I might be a serious antagonist!' to 'I'm just a stupid distraction LOL' in the space of a few chapters. And she's a total bitch for leaving Magnus hanging at the end of Clockwork Angel! D:<
I love that part, but then I'm pretty biased when it comes to Alec and Magnus. XD I liked the part right before that as well, when Magnus hadn't left the table yet and had his head in his hands, muttering to himself, and Jordan took it upon himself to answer his rhetorical question. The image in my head is just hilarious; Magnus shoots him a look, Jordan looks like he wishes he hadn't said anything, and is obviously afraid of him. Irritated Magnus is often funny, for some reason. XD

Ugh, don't even get me started on Camille. You'll be reading all day. Haha *Shudders*
OMG I love an angsty/annoyed Magnus~! It's the best because he's always so dramatic about it. I love when Alec was playing with the fork and he just takes it away from him because he got annoyed that Alec wasn't listening. Lol
